Today at 2.30 IST, Kochi will host the Tata IPL Auction 2023. It promises to be an interesting event as franchisees try to make the greatest team for their season and win the trophy.
The IPL has produced many young cricketers who later represented their country.

1 Dinesh Bana (18 years 8 days, 20 lakhs)
Dinesh Bana is a hard-hitting keeper-batsman who struck two consecutive sixes to win the 2022 Under-19 Cricket World Cup for India.
Bana is remembered for his Under-19 World Cup Final exploits, but he also smashed 20* runs off 4 balls in the semi-final against Australia. He averaged 31.50 with a 190.90 strike-rate throughout the event. Dinesh Bana’s aggressive batting style and wicketkeeping ability could spark a bidding war.
2 Kumar Kushagra (20 lakhs) 61 years old
Kumar Kushagra, then 16, earned his India Under-19 debut in 2020. He played just one match, scoring 13* against Japan. He played the Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand in February 2022.
In March 2022, he smashed a doubleton (266 of 269) in the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals. He hit 37 boundaries and 2 maximums. In the second inning, he scored 89 runs. Kumar Kushagra is a future star who could be auctioned this year.
3 Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar (15 years 161 days, 20 lakhs)
Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, a 15-year-old Afghan prodigy, can spin both ways. Mis Ainak Knights picked him for Afghanistan’s first-class circuit. The auction’s youngest player.
His compatriots Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman may stir teams’ interest in this promising finger-spinner.
