According to BCCI Secretary Shah, Bumrah is fit and ready for his visit to Ireland

Fortunately a fit-again pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is anticipated to be tried during the three matches in Malahide, Dublin, according to BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Thursday. India will be sending a second-string side to Ireland for the T20I series.

Bumrah is now undergoing significant rehabilitation at the NCA following surgery to treat his lower back stress fracture. Before a decision is made, it is anticipated that he will play a few warm-up games.

During a press conference held here, Shah said, “Bumrah is completely fit and he may go to Ireland.”

Additionally, he stated that with 12 ODIs remaining until the World Cup, consistency in selection will be a goal.

With the exception of the Ireland visit, Shah continued, “there will be consistency in selections.”

Bumrah will be making a comeback, but none of the senior players who have already qualified for the World Cup, including T20 captain Hardik Pandya, will be chosen for the three-match series, which begins six days after the conclusion of the five T20Is against the West Indies in the United States.

Shah added that the reason there is so much international cricket is because it is the responsibility of the BCCI to see that other cricket boards require assistance.

“We must tour everywhere in order for other boards to survive. As there is so much cricket, injuries will occur. We must take care of other boards as well,” he stated.
