Pat Cummins will go back to Australia because of an illness in his family, but it is anticipated that he will return to India before the beginning of the third test match.

Due to an illness in the captain’s family, the rest of the Australian cricket team will continue their tour of the sub-continent while the captain makes a quick trip back home.

The 29-year-old will travel to Sydney before returning to the team in India in advance of the third Test that is scheduled to begin on March 1 in Indore.

Cummins has three wickets to his name in the series so far, and his average against Australia’s opponents is 39.66. This comes despite the fact that Australia has been outplayed by India and has lost the first two Tests.

Following a collapse that occurred early in the third day of the second test, the team captained by Cummins was bowled out for 113 runs in their second innings.

Ravindra Jadeja, India’s premier all-rounder, had a career-best seven wickets taken in a test to help India defeat Australia in Delhi.

Mitchell Swepson, who had to leave the team before the second test so that he could attend the birth of his first child, may be able to come back and play for Australia, which is some good news for the team.
