Boris Becker, a former world number one tennis player, was recently released from jail but now risks deportation

According to a report by the British news agency Press Association, the legendary German tennis player Boris Becker has been released from prison after having served eight months of his sentence.

However, he is now at risk of being deported from the United Kingdom.

According to PA, the German man, age 55, who has been living in Britain since 2012 was freed on Thursday morning before to his deportation.

The story did not cite any sources for its information.

Three-time Wimbledon winner John McEnroe was sentenced to 30 months in prison in April for concealing assets and loans totalling $3.1 million and 2.5 million pounds in order to avoid paying his debts.

The previous holder of the number one spot in the world lost their financial footing in June of 2017.

According to a story in The Guardian, the tennis champion will be deported since he is a foreign national who does not have British citizenship and received a sentence of incarceration that was more than 12 months.

According to the publication, after Becker is deported, he will not be allowed to request for entry to the United Kingdom for a period of ten years.
