The Texas Super Kings have signed Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner, Ambati Rayudu, and David Miller for the next MLC 2023. As was already said, Stephen Fleming, who is also in charge of the Super Kings in the IPL and SA20, will be the team’s coach.
Conway, Santner, and Rayudu will get back together with Fleming, who led them to the IPL 2023 championship last month. Rayudu quit the IPL after that final, so this will be his first time playing in a franchise game outside of India. Conway was the Player of the Match in the three-day final, which was held in Ahmedabad. He scored 47 runs in 25 balls as CSK beat 171 runs in 15 overs. Dwayne Bravo, who was the bowling coach for Chennai Super Kings when they won the IPL title, will be back as a player for the MLC.
Daniel Sams, an Australian seam bowler and all-rounder who recently turned down a state contract with New South Wales for better chances in franchise T20 cricket, will join the IPL winners.
Gerald Coetzee, who took 17 wickets in the first SA20 and was the most successful player for the Jo’burg Super Kings, will also be a Super King in MLC.
During the MLC draft in March, Sami Aslam and Rusty Theron, who used to play for their country, were picked up by Super Kings. Saiteja Mukkamalla, who is 19 years old and is in Zimbabwe with the USA team for the ODI World Cup Qualifier, was also chosen.
Eric Simmons and Albie Morkel will help coach Fleming in his job as head coach. They had also worked with Fleming in the SA20. In the semi-final at Centurion, Jo’burg Super Kings lost to Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
MLC 2023 is a six-team game that will take place at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas, from July 14 to July 31. The first game of the event will be between Super Kings and Los Angeles Knight Riders.
