Demoralized RCB encounters fiery SRH once more.

Published:

In the IPL 2024, RCB has now lost six straight games. Without a doubt, all six would have caused pain. However, the last one—against the Kolkata Knight Riders—would have hurt a little bit more. They had an incredible run chase and nearly scored 223 runs, but were just short by one run. This was a devastating blow that felt almost like the team’s last, especially for one that desperately wanted to win.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is the last squad you would want to face in this year’s IPL based on the circumstances. However, fewer than ten days have passed since the unprecedented bloodshed at the Chinnaswamy. Records were shattered left, right, and center, and considering what has happened so far, the bowlers for the Royals are aware that a recurrence cannot be ruled out. Even if they are successful in stopping Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, they will still have to deal with Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, and Nitish Reddy. In the previous game, Shahbaz Ahmed also scored a fast fifty runs.

The fact that the SRH bowling attack has also leaked a lot is one thing that RCB should be encouraged about. After posting 277, 287, and most recently 266, they haven’t been able to relax. Priorities aside, though, that SRH opening pair will once again be the center of attention. It would be a major step towards putting an end to their dismal run of performances if RCB could find a method to get rid of them both during the powerplay.

When: April 25, 2024, @ 19:30 IST; Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore

Where: Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

What to anticipate: This season, we have already played twice in Hyderabad. One had more than 500 runs, while the other was mild, with CSK scoring only 165, which was easily surpassed.

Availability and Injuries: At this time, SRH is not concerned about any injuries.

Strategies & Matchups: In the Indian Premier League, Jaydev Unadkat, Pat Cummins, and Mayank Markande have a strong track record against Virat Kohli. By pitting this three against the present orange hat bearer, SRH will be better benefited. Heinrich Klaasen, on the other hand, is incredibly effective against most of the RCB bowlers.

Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen (WK), Nitish Reddy, Shahbaz Ahmed, Abdul Samad, Pat Cummins, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markande, and T Natarajan are the likely members of the starting eleven. [Impact sub: Jaydev Unadkat/Washington Sundar]

Bengaluru Royal Challengers

Injuries/Availability: Given how effectively Will Jacks performed against KKR the other night, Cameron Green will have another chance in the middle order if Glenn Maxwell stays out of the game.

On the other side, Alzarri Joseph may be called up if the Indian cricket team decides to bolster their bowling attack in order to counter this potent batting group.

Strategies & Matchups: Faf du Plessis hasn’t had a great IPL run thus far, but he has a strong record against players like Bhuvneshwar, Cummins, Unadkat, and Shahbaz. Against DK, the majority of the bowlers from the SRH camp have a dismal track record.

Potential starting lineup: Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar, Mahipal Lomror, Cameron Green, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Karn Sharma, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, Mohammed Siraj, Faf du Plessis (C).

Were you aware?
