In place of the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, the Afghanistani Allah Ghazanfar has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders. Afghanistan’s offspinner Ghazanfar has previously played in two ODIs.

In the meantime, the Rajasthan Royals signed South African left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj to replace injured player Prasidh Krishna.

A media release from the Indian Premier League stated, “Prasidh Krishna recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon and is currently recovering.”

In their only games played thus far in the IPL 2024, KKR and RR have both recorded wins. Injury concerns have already arisen for both teams during the campaign. After Jason Roy withdrew, KKR signed Phil Salt, and RR signed Tanush Kotian to replace Adam Zampa.
