For the third test of the Ashes, England has dropped Anderson and Tongue.

In the current Ashes series, England is down 0-2 and has made some big changes before the third Test at Headingley. Josh Tongue and James Anderson, who has been a runner for a long time, have been left out. The playing eleven for the Test, which was revealed the night before, has Chris Woakes and the fast Mark Wood in place of the two.

England has also put Moeen Ali in the eleven, since Ollie Pope is hurt and can’t play. Ali beats out Dan Lawrence for the spot, and Harry Brook will bat third.

Anderson didn’t do very well in the two Tests, so he had to be honest about it in his piece for The Telegraph.”You want to help in the big series, and I don’t think I’ve had two games like this in a row in at least 10 years.

“I feel like I’ve always made a difference at some point. But I don’t think I’m bowling that badly; I’m just going through a rough patch, which you don’t want to happen in an Ashes… I say “lean patch,” but there have only been two games like that out of 181.

“I’m not going to say anything else bad about the pitch. So far, they haven’t worked for me, but I have found ways to get wickets on flat pitches in the past. Right now, I just can’t find that knack.

“However, it is not fun to watch the best bowlers in the world smash the ball into the middle of the field. “If you asked all the bowlers at Lord’s, they would all say they want to try other skills as well,” he had written.

The pacer, who was 41 years old, also thought that his age did not affect how well he ran.

“At my age, people will always make guesses about what will happen to me. But I understand. It’s a high-profile show, so you’re in the spotlight more, and it’s easy to say that he’s getting a little old. But it’s not because I’m old that I haven’t taken catches.

“I’m not thinking about what will happen next. I’m only thinking about Thursday and the start of the next Test when I think about the future. I’ll only look that far ahead. If I get the job, I’ll do what the team needs me to do. If not, I’ll keep working hard and hope to have a part in the show at some point,” he wrote.
