Former Arsenal player says he won’t attend the derby against Tottenham because “I don’t think they will let me in”

Jack Wilshere joked that he may not be permitted into Tottenham Hotspur’s Stadium for Sunday’s north London derby (January 15). Arsenal travel to their opponents’ citadel to resume their Premier League title pursuit.

Mikel Arteta’s team leads the league with 14 victories, two ties, and one loss in 17 games. Tottenham, fifth with 10 wins, three ties, and five losses in 18 matches, faces them.

The north London derby has long been a bitter rivalry. Wilshere knows everything about the rivalry. He played 11 times, winning four and losing four.

The veteran midfielder quipped that his allegiance to Arsenal may prevent him from entering Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium. Hayters TV:

“Let’s take every game as it comes and most importantly beat Tottenham on Sunday. I frequent home games. I’ll skip White Hart Lane or whatever it’s called. It’s called what? I’ll skip the stadium. I doubt I’ll be admitted.”
Wilshere was a fan favourite at Arsenal despite his injury-plagued career. 197 games, 14 goals, 30 assists. In July 2022, he retired. Englishman manages U18s.

Theo Walcott believes Arsenal will win the derby and the title.
Arsenal must defeat Tottenham on Sunday to win their first league title since 2004. Walcott expects Arteta’s team to beat Spurs away.

TalkSPORT wondered if his previous team might win the title. Walcott referenced stand-in frontman Eddie Nketiah. Seven goals in 23 competition games for the English forward:

“Yes. I do. I do. Eddie Nketiah is seizing his chance. Arsenal has an atmosphere right now. I’m confident.”
Walcott then discussed the north London derby with Spurs, expressing confidence in Arteta’s team:

“Is it at Tottenham? I’m confident because Tottenham play negatively. However, Arsenal will have a lot of the ball, which Tottenham likes.
Spurs trail Sunday’s opponents by 11 points after a turbulent season.
