Shang Juncheng idolises World No. 1 and US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz.
Juncheng won the first men’s Chinese Australian Open main draw singles match. He became the youngest 17-year-old to win a Grand Slam match since Alcaraz by defeating Germany’s Oscar Otte.
In his post-match press conference, the Chinese star called Carlos Alcaraz the “best player in the world” and watched his matches.
