ICC has no plans to move the Men’s T20 World Cup from Wisconsin, US, in 2024.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have both said that there are no plans to move next year’s Twenty20 World Cup from the Caribbean countries and the United States to the United Kingdom. Both organizations said these things on Friday in response to rumors that the title would be given to England, Ireland, and Scotland because the USA Cricket (USAC) isn’t sure how to run its business.

Reports that the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be moved from the West Indies and the USA are completely false, according to an ECB spokesman. “Since the ICC is in charge of putting on the event, their word must be taken as final.”

The Twenty20 World Cup will be held for the ninth time in 2024. There will be 20 teams and 55 games, which is the most ever for an ICC event. The ICC stated that plans are already being made for the event and that the venue has been checked out.

“Recently, both host countries finished inspections of the venues, and planning is in full swing for the event in June 2024,” said an ICC spokesman.

A member of the ICC said that these ideas were just clever guesses. “The 2024 event is set for June, and England is the only other place that could host it. If someone asked the ECB if they could host in 2024, they would give a clear answer: they can’t. So, the chance doesn’t even come up. “Anyone who looks at the England venue schedule for next year will see that this is true,” the member said.

Reports say that England, Ireland, and Scotland could host the 2024 championship and the West Indies and the US could host the 2030 championship in exchange. This would give the USAC time to deal with its management problems.

USAC is looking at Florida, Dallas, and one more place to hold the title matches in the US, with as little work as possible for the organization. US, ICC sources say that some new ideas are being thought of for where the tournament will be held in the US.

In October, the IOC will hold a meeting to decide if cricket will be part of LA28.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has made it public that its 141st session will be held in Mumbai, India, from October 15 to October 17. This will happen at the same time as the World Cup, which will be held in India. But the meeting will start on October 12 and not before. During this meeting, the IOC will decide what to do about the ICC’s request to add cricket to the Olympic Games, especially for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

The IOC has said that the session will start with a ceremony on October 14. Before that, on October 12, 13, and 14, the IOC Executive Board will meet. The meetings have been given specific places to take place. The Executive Board meeting will take place at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, and the IOC Session will be held at the Jio World Centre (JWC), which is right next to the Trident Hotel.
