Saurashtra’s Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu on January 24 will mark the return of Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Sportstar claims that Jadeja would captain Saurashtra at the Chennai Chepauk Stadium encounter.
Cheteshwar Pujara and Jaydev Unadkat were allegedly rested. Next month, India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy squad includes the Saurashtra pair.
Jadeja missed the 2022 T20 World Cup after knee surgery last August. This four-day game will help the all-rounder prepare for the important Australia series.

Jadeja helped India win the 2017 Border-Gavaskar Trophy at home 2-1. The left-arm spinner took 25 wickets and became the top Test bowler.
Jadeja’s Test batting has also improved greatly. In his previous Test at Edgbaston last July, the southpaw scored a brilliant hundred. He lets India play with five bowlers.
India must beat Australia by two wins to reach the World Test Championship final. Rohit Sharma and Co. need Jadeja’s availability and form with Rishabh Pant out of the series.
