IPL 2023: So far in 2023, the most successful team in the Indian Premier League has had a mixed season. The Mumbai Indians have played six games so far, and they have won three and lost three. They had won three straight games before the Punjab Kings beat them. Now, they will face the Gujarat Titans, who are the reigning champions.
The game will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday. MI needs to win this game to keep its chances of making the playoffs alive. But it will be hard for Gujarat to win at home. So, MI needs to do well at cricket. So, here is a list of three Mumbai players who could do well in the GT vs. MI Match No. 35 on Tuesday.
IPL 2023: Three Key Players for Mumbai Indians in Match No. 35, GT vs. MI
3. Rohit Sharma
The captain of MI seems to be back in shape, as he has scored well in the last few games. Rohit Sharma is a big name for any team, no matter what is going on or what kind of game is being played. When he’s in the goal, his team is always in a dominant situation, which is known all over the world.
So, GT will need to get rid of him as quickly as possible. Because as long as Rohit is at the wicket, he will make sure MI wins the game. Rohit has hit 10 sixes and made 179 runs in six innings, for a strike rate of 142.06. He just hit 250 sixes in the IPL, making him the first Indian to do so. The captain of MI will be a big prize because he can change the game.
2. Suryakumar Yadav
There are a number of “game-winners” in the Mumbai Indians group who can win a game on their own. Suryakumar Yadav is the most well-known one of them. At the beginning of the event, it looked like he was having trouble, but now he’s back on track. In the last game against the Punjab Kings, SKY almost pulled off a big chase with his appearance.
In a chase for 215 runs, he got 57 runs off 26 balls by hitting seven fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 219.23. Even though he left at the wrong time, his return to form sent a warning to the other teams. And everyone knows how scary Suryakumar Yadav can be when he is in full flow. GT can only hope that he does something wrong and gets out of the game early. Gujarat will be in a lot of trouble because he can stay for a while.
1. Cameron Green
Cameron Green, a big Australian all-rounder, has been MI’s best player with both the bat and the ball. He has scored 50 or more runs in each of the last two games. So far, Green has done everything that was asked of him. He has won games and also been the best player.
He also bowls during the powerplay and at the end of the game, which makes him a useful asset for the five-time winners. With two half-centuries, Green has made 166 runs at an impressive strike rate of 155.14. He has also taken five wickets with the ball, making him a player to keep an eye on in the next game against the Gujarat Titans. MI will want him to keep going where he left off in the last game and play well in all areas on Tuesday.
