IPL 2024: KKR lets Shardul go, while RCB releases Hazlewood and Hasaranga

Gujarat Titans: Hardik is still in the team.

Prior to the player retention deadline, rumors circulated that Hardik Pandya would be joining the Mumbai Indians and departing the Gujarat Titans. However, the Titans kept Hardik and listed him as their temporary captain on the day of the deadline. With the trading window open till December 12, one week before the player auction on December 19, Hardik may yet return to Mumbai.

The Titans have kept the majority of the team that advanced them to the 2023 finals and won the 2022 Indian Premier League.

Alzarri Joseph, Odean Smith, Dasun Shanaka, Yash Dayal, KS Bharat, Shivam Mavi, Urvil Patel, and Pradeep Sangwan were among the players released.

Players that are still in the team are: David Miller, Matthew Wade, Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson, Hardik Pandya, Jayant Yadav, Rahul Tewatia, Mohammed Shami, Noor Ahmad, R Sai Kishore, Rashid Khan, Josh Little, and Mohit Sharma.

Hazlewood, Hasaranga, and Harshal are out for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Following the release of Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Wayne Parnell, and Josh Hazlewood, the most recent ODI World Cup winner, RCB plans to revamp their bowling assault. Reece Topley, an England left-arm quick, is still with them, but he is prone to injury. Of the bowlers on their list of retained players, Mohammed Siraj is the only one who can be counted on to start.
