J.P. Duminy has said that David Miller had latent leadership potential that needs to be brought to the forefront

Former South African all-rounder and Paarl Royals coach JP Duminy believes David Miller’s best is yet to come in the franchise and international cricket.

Miller appeared to be losing his promise. The veteran southpaw has had a great year.

Miller helped the Gujarat Titans win their first IPL title last year. He has also been quite consistent for South Africa.

JP Duminy answered a Sportskeeda question on David Miller in an SA20 news conference for a small number of journalists:

“I think he’s matured. From our conversations, David Miller needs to become a leader.” In the past year, he has accepted responsibility for tough situations and understood he can win games by himself.”
Duminy added:

“I consider him a world-class finisher. He’s 33–34 and strong. David Miller will improve.”
JP Duminy on South African cricket’s right “transition”
After last year’s humiliating T20 World Cup loss to the Netherlands, South Africa may overhaul their white-ball structure.

The Proteas have ample of talent after Dewald Brevis, Marco Jansen, Evan Jones, and others excelled in franchise cricket. asked JP Duminy if they should be called up. He said: “Everyone can’t be fired. No. You need a team of senior guys to help. Experience is unaffordable.” The young guys need to learn from the older guys. I’m excited about the guys you mentioned—South African cricket is full of talent. Just nourish it.”
If they beat the Pretoria Capitals on February 7, the Paarl Royals will play the Johannesburg Super Kings in the SA20 semifinals.
