Joao Felix urges the Portuguese media to remain unified over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Atletico Madrid attacker calls for unity from Portugal supporters and media amid Ronaldo rumours. The 23-year-old says Portugal’s magnificent moment at the 2022 FIFA World Cup must not be spoilt.

Felix told reporters, “I want to address the Portuguese and the media.” I think we should all be more united and not try to destroy the vibe in the selection.

Fernando Santos dropped Cristiano Ronaldo in the Round of 16 against Switzerland.

Goncalo Ramos, Ronaldo’s replacement, scored a hat-trick after the manager’s brave move. Portugal’s 6-1 win over the Red Crosses was aided by three goals from Ramos.

Ronaldo’s omission against Switzerland fuelled rumours of a breach between him and Santos’ boss. Five-time Ballon d’Or winner reportedly threatened to quit national team in Qatar after being benched against Switzerland.

The Selecao and Santos issued official statements rejecting the charges. Portugal faces Morocco tonight (December 10) at Al Thumama Stadium.

Neville feels Portugal is better without Ronaldo.Gary Neville has criticised Cristiano Ronaldo again.

The former England right-back says Fernando Santos’ side is better without their superstar. “Portugal’s best performance of the tournament, a 6-1 triumph against Switzerland, was without him,” he remarked. Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes shined. This reminds me of United—they’re better without him.

Neville: “Despite what Cristiano Ronaldo thinks, I adore him to bits – he’s wonderful.”

“I worry about his influence on other players if he refuses to join a team,” he added. Ronaldo’s better. The biggest difficulty is that Ronaldo’s coaches at Portugal and Manchester United thought they were better without him.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored once in four World Cup games. He hasn’t scored a knockout-round goal yet.
