Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s knee has been operated on. Cricadda has heard from both the doctor and people who work for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that the surgery went well and that the former captain of India fits perfectly. He will have to stay in the hospital for a few more days before he can go home.

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that he talked to Dhoni Thursday morning after the surgery. “I talked with him after the surgery. I don’t know what the surgery is for, but we’ve been told it’s a “key-hole” surgery. During our talk, he seemed fine,” the CSK official said.

Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, an expert in sports medicine who had worked on Rishabh Pant for a similar problem, did the surgery on Dhoni, who was 41 at the time. The surgery was done at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Sakshi, who is married to Dhoni, is with him in the hospital. Dhoni was taken to the hospital Wednesday night (May 31).

Cricadda has already stated that the CSK team doctor, Dr. Madhu Thottappil, has been sent to Mumbai to oversee Dhoni’s care. No one knows for sure when Dhoni will be fully better, but it is thought that he will be back on his feet in about two months.

After winning the IPL on Monday night, Dhoni told his fans who had been cheering for him all season that he would come back next year and play one last season.
