After their second consecutive loss in the three-match ODI series against Australia, New Zealand dropped from first to second in the ICC ODI team rankings. As a result, England has reclaimed the top spot on the rankings chart after losing it to New Zealand in May 2021. They presently rank 119, moving ahead of New Zealand, which dropped to 117.
If New Zealand wins the third and final ODI on Sunday in Cairns, they can increase their rating to 119, but they will remain in second place. India, Pakistan, and Australia are currently in third, fourth, and fifth place on the charts, respectively, with no major changes in the standings.
