Virat Kohli, a 34-year-old batter for the India National Cricket Team, was recently photographed at the Mumbai airport and is shortly to re-join the team for the ICC World Cup 2023.

Rain forced the cancellation of India’s two pre-World Cup matches against England and the Netherlands, and the Rohit Sharma-led team will instead play Australia on October 8 in Chennai.

On Wednesday, October 4, Virat Kohli is scheduled to board a flight from Mumbai later that evening and go to Chennai alongside the rest of the team.

The batting wizard departed Guwahati for Mumbai for personal reasons rather than traveling with the squad to Thiruvananthapuram for the exhibition game against the Netherlands.

Tomorrow, Virat Kohli will travel to Chennai with the team, according to reports.
According to a Team India spokesman, Kohli will join the group later this evening and travel to Chennai with them tomorrow to play the Australian National Cricket Team.

He will be joining us later this evening and will be departing with the squad for Chennai tomorrow, according to an Indian team spokesman, who was quoted by Cricbuzz on Tuesday night.

The same report states that Virat Kohli will attend a significant International Cricket Council (ICC) engagement before heading to Chennai.

All of the team leaders are expected to be present for the captains’ picture session, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday in Ahmedabad. The 2023 edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will feature a total of 10 teams. The final standings of the Cricket World Cup Super League allowed eight teams to enter the 46-day competition, while the remaining two berths were decided following the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe.

Sri Lanka and the Netherlands qualified after the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier, while India, South Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, England, Bangladesh, Australia, and New Zealand qualified based on Cricket World Cup Super League rankings.

Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav make up India’s World Cup squad.
