Ruturaj to lead India in Asian games

India’s men’s and women’s teams for the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou have been named.

The women’s cricket part of the Games will take place between September 19 and September 28. The games will be played in Twenty20 style, which is the shortest international format. The games will take place on the Pingfeng Cricket Field at the Zhejiang University of Technology.

Harmanpreet Kaur will be in charge of the Indian women’s team at the game, and Smriti Mandhana will help her out as her deputy.

A list of standby players, including Harleen Deol, Kashvee Gautam, Sneh Rana, Saika Ishaque, and Pooja Vastrakar, has also been released.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will be in charge of the Indian men’s team at the game. No other leader has been named. The men’s part of the event will start on September 28, which is the last day of the women’s part, and end on October 8, also at the same place.

The Asian Games, which were meant to happen in 2022 but were pushed back because of the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place from September 19 to October 8, 2023.
