Schedule conflicts with five other T20 leagues and the BPL 2024 dates

The Bangladesh Premier League’s 2024 schedule will conflict, in different ways, with the January–February schedules of five other Twenty20 tournaments.

The tournament’s schedule, which runs from January 19 to March 1, was revealed by the BCB on Monday. In the UAE, the ILT20 will take place from January 19 through February 17. From January 10 to February 10, South Africa will host the SA20 league. Australia’s BBL, which began on December 7, will last until January 24. New Zealand will host the Super Smash between December 19 and January 28. Additionally, the BPL may be most impacted by the Pakistan Super League (PSL), since several franchises significantly rely on the country for its foreign recruiting. The PSL will take place in Pakistan from mid-February to mid-March.

Twenty-five Pakistani cricketers participated in the BPL last season, including stars like Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan and tape-ball specialist Khawaja Nafay, who made his T20 BPL debut.

In addition to players from the Netherlands, Ireland, South Africa, the United States, and Zimbabwe, players from Afghanistan, England, and the West Indies are also in high demand in the BPL.

The playoffs will begin in Dhaka on February 25 and the BPL will be contested in the customary locations in Sylhet, Chattogram, and Dhaka.
