Sourav Ganguly says Rishabh Pants IPL 2023 absence will hurt the Delhi Capitals

Don’t play in IPL 2023. The wicketkeeper is in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital under BCCI care after a tragic automobile crash on December 30.

Max Hospital in Dehradun treated his initial lacerations and abrasions. However, the BCCI medical team contacted the hospital personnel and took over treatment, particularly for his major ligament damage.

Pant will miss a while due to his ailments. He will miss the entire home season but could play in IPL 2023 if he recovers properly.

Ganguly, who is close to being named director of cricket for the Delhi Capitals and its sister clubs, ended the rumours by declaring that the wicketkeeper is unlikely to recover in time to head the franchise in IPL 2023. The former BCCI president told Sports Today: “Rishabh Pant will not be available for the IPL. I represent Delhi Capitals. We’ll have a good IPL, but Rishabh Pant’s injury will hurt the Delhi Capitals.”

Since the 2021 competition, Delhi-born player has led the team. After Shreyas Iyer’s shoulder injury sidelined him that season, he took over leadership.

The 2020 IPL finalists reportedly considered David Warner as captain in the absence of the former U-19 World Cup star.

Rishabh Pant’s ligament surgery worked.
Due to an infection fear in Dehradun, the child was transferred to a private ward before being transported to Mumbai and admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital under BCCI’s supervision.

On January 6, Dr. Dinshaw Pardilwala and his team performed the procedure. His ACL and MCL tore (MCL).

Pant was slated to report to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for a knee niggle. He also missed the Sri Lanka white-ball series.
