There are no shocks when England names its fourth Test team.

For the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford, England has picked a 14-person team. James Anderson and Josh Tongue are still in the team, even though they were taken out of the eleven for the third Test.

The 14-person squad, however, is the same as the one that was revealed for the third Test at Headingley, which England won to keep the Ashes alive.

The score in the five-Test series is 2-1, and the fourth match will start on July 19 at Old Trafford.

During the third Test, Ollie Robinson’s health was a worry, but he is still in the team.

England usually picks their eleven players the night before a Test, so the group will be cut down even more. One big question about that is whether or not Anderson will be able to play on his home field.

Anderson doesn’t have any doubts about the choices that are being made. “They will choose the best team to play against Australia that week. No matter what they decide, I’ll be happy.

“I know that playing in the next Test is not a given, and I will understand if they want to keep the winning team. I can’t do anything about the choice. Anderson had written in his piece for The Telegraph, “I just make sure I’m in a good place and ready to play.”

Before Anderson was cut in the third Test, Stokes said there was a good chance that England’s player with the most wickets could come back for the fourth Test.

“Before the series started, we were very open and honest with each other about how hard it would be for the bowlers to play every game this summer. Stokes had said, “It’s a good chance for Jimmy to get some rest and get ready to charge in from the Jimmy Anderson End at Old Trafford next week.”

Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonathan Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, Josh Tongue, Chris Woakes, and Mark Wood are in the England team for the 4th Ashes Test.
