Watch as Jasprit Bumrah avoids a collision with Ravi Bishnoi and avoids injury in the Indians vs. Irish game

Premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah of the India National Cricket Team avoided injury in his comeback game at the Malahide in Dublin on Friday, August 18. Bumrah is captaining the team in the present three-match T20I series against the Ireland National Cricket Team.

After an 11-month absence, Bumrah is back in action in the opening T20I against Ireland. He played for India in September 2022, but was forced to have surgery for a lower-back stress fracture, which prevented him from playing cricket until today.

In the meantime, Jasprit Bumrah nearly clashed with a fielder while trying to prevent the ball from reaching the boundary while fielding during his comeback game, scaring Indian cricket fans.

The event happened when Washington Sundar was bowling to Curtis Campher on the fifth ball of the fourteenth over. A length ball pitched by the off-spinner angled onto the off-stump, and Campher moved to ramp it over short fine. The ball was observed being chased by Bumrah and Ravi Bishnoi from two distinct angles.

As the ball sped towards the boundary, both players were quite close to it. Bishnoi dove to stop it, and Bumrah leaped over the spinner to escape a dangerous collision. The third umpire determined it to be a boundary after several replays.

Good news for Indian cricket, indeed. On Jasprit Bumrah’s return, Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Ganguly, the current president of the BCCI and a former captain of India, said that Jasprit Bumrah’s comeback is fantastic news for Indian cricket. Bumrah’s comeback, he continued, strengthens the team’s bowling attack.

“He’s at his best, according to certain players at the NCA I spoke with…The other day, Bumrah was bowling at a speed of around 90 miles per hour. On the sidelines of a commercial event, Ganugly stated, “That’s fantastic news for Indian cricket.

“They have a wonderful offense with Bumrah, (Mohammed) Shami, and (Mohammed) Siraj to go with (Ravindra) Jadeja, Axar (Patel), and Kuldeep (Yadav); they have tremendous quality. He asked, “How can that team feel uneasy?

“It’s simply that they used new players in the West Indies, and by the time the World Cup rolls around and they choose the team, you’ll see that it will be a top side. It depends on how you perform in that competition, added Ganguly.
