Bishan Singh Bedi is among the greatest spinners to play the sport. The left-arm spinner was part of India's famous spin quartet. He played 67 Test matches and took 266 wickets. He also captained India in 22 matches.
Kapil Dev, India's 1983 world Cup-winning captain is among the greatest to play the sport. The star all-rounder is still India's highest wicket-taker among pacers. He is the only player in history to take 400+ wickets and score 5000+ runs in Test cricket.
Sunil Gavaskar was one of three Indians inducted in the first list in 2009 alongside Bedi and Dev. Gavaskar is arguably the greatest Test batter in history. He scored 34 Test centuries and was the first to cross the elusive mark of 10,000 Test runs.
Anil Kumble, India's highest wicket-taker in both Test and ODI cricket, was inducted into the hall of fame in 2015. Kumble took 619 wickets in Test cricket and 337 in ODIs. He finished his international career with 953 wickets.
Rahul Dravid was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2018. The ex-skipper is just one of two Indians and seven across the world to score 10000 runs in both formats. He has 36 Test centuries, which is the second most by an Indian.
Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as the greatest player to play the sport. He was inducted in the ICC Hall of Fame in 2019. Sachin is the highest run-getter in Test and ODI history. He also has the most centuries in Tests (51) and second most in ODIs (49). No other player in history has scored 100 international centuries.
Vinoo Mankad was inducted into the ICC Hall Of Fame in 2021. He is among the greatest Indian all-rounders in Test cricket. He was the first Indian to score 1000 Test runs and get 100 wickets. He achieved the feat in just 23 matches, which was the quickest until Ian Botham broke it in 1979. He also held the world record for the highest opening partnership (413) alongside Pankaj Roy.
Diani Edulji was the first Indian female cricketer to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2023. She took 120 wickets in international cricket, which was the highest at the time of her retirement. Edulji led India in 18 ODIs and 4 Tests.
Virender Sehwag, one of the finest opening batters in history, was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2023. He was the first Indian to score a double century in test cricket and the only player from the country to achieve the feat twice. Sehwag was part of India's 2007 T20 and 2011 WC-winning teams.
Neetu David became the second Indian female player to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2024. She took 182 wickets for India in international cricket. She played 10 Tests and 97 ODIs for the national team. She has the best figures in women's test in an innings.
MS Dhoni was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2025 just months after he became eligible. Dhoni is the only captain in history to win all three ICC white-ball events. He is widely regarded among the greatest wicket-keeper batter to play the sports.
