The first Sri Lanka Vs Bangladesh Test match will be telecast live on the Sony Sports Network. It will also be streamed live on the FanCode and SonyLiv apps and websites.
The action will start from 10:00 AM IST at the Galle International Stadium with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mustafiqur Rahim of Bangladesh at crease.
Day 2 begins under clear skies in Galle with Bangladesh resuming at 293/3. Najmul Hossain Shanto (136) and Mushfiqur Rahim (106) have extended their unbeaten 250-run stand, frustrating the Lankan attack. Asitha Fernando and Prabath Jayasuriya start bowling for Sri Lanka, hunting a much-needed breakthrough.
    BAN: 295/3 (92.1)
Bangladesh have now moved to 324/4. However they lost Najmul Hossain Shanto early in the morning session, ending a mammoth 264-run partnership for the 4th wicket with Mushfiqur Rahim. Shanto departed after a well-crafted 148 off 279 balls, caught by Angelo Mathews at mid-off off a slower ball from Asitha Fernando.
Since then, Litton Das has joined Mushfiqur at the crease. The pair has added 15 runs so far.
    BAN: 324/4
Bangladesh head into the lunch break on Day 2 well on top at 383/4 in 117 overs. The visitors added 91 runs in the morning session for the loss of just one wicket–skipper Shanto. Since then, it’s been Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das holding fort. The pair have stitched together an unbeaten 74-run stand.
    BAN: 383/4 in 117 overs.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das have kept Sri Lanka at bay with a composed 100+ stand for the fifth wicket. Mushfiqur is closing in on a potential double-century, currently unbeaten on 156, while Litton is batting on 55.
    BAN: 411/4 (125.2)
Rain has stopped play in Galle with Bangladesh in a commanding position at 423/4 in 130.2 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim remains unbeaten on 159, while Litton Das is on 61. The pair have added 114 runs for the fifth wicket and frustrated the Sri Lankan bowlers, who toiled hard with little reward. Milan Rathnayake had a close LBW review against Mushfiqur before the rain came, but umpire’s call saved the batter.
    BAN: 423/4 (130.2)
The rain has eased considerably at the Galle International Stadium. Groundsmen have removed most of the covers, and there’s clear activity on the field. A restart is possible if conditions hold, though some damp patches may delay play slightly.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das continue to pile on the pressure as Bangladesh reach 458/4 in 140.1 overs. The duo has now added 149 runs for the fifth wicket, with Mushfiqur standing tall on 163 off 349 and Litton looking fluent on 90 off 119. Despite some probing spells from Asitha Fernando and Tharindu Ratnayake, Sri Lanka remain wicketless in the last 10 overs.
    BAN: 458/4 (140.1)
Sri Lanka bowlers have sneaked through Bangladesh with the latter losing wickets in a heap. The visitors are seven down now, despite the score post 450-plus in Galle. Litton Das was unlucky to fall in the 90s as the Tigers will hope their lower-order clicks and take them past 500-mark.
    BAN: 479/7 (148 Ov)
It’s stumps on day 2 as Bangladesh end on 484/9 with Sri Lanka requiring just one wicket to bat again.
