WNBA Fans In Disbelief After Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark News on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has been in good form recently. Struggling offensively to start the 2025 WNBA season, Reese has scored in double-figures each of the last four games, averaging 14.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists during that stretch.
Despite Reese’s improved play, Chicago sits at just 3-8 on the season. This is the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference, and third-worst in the entire WNBA.
Chicago’s poor record, combined with Reese’s slow start to the year, could be why the 6-foot-3 forward was notably absent when the WNBA announced the top-10 2025 All-Star Game vote getters thus far.
Fans were quick to notice that Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark not only led the list, but had roughly three times more votes than Reese.
This news had WNBA fans in disbelief, as many felt Reese’s popularity alone could have closed this gap.
“Reese’s Pieces have been here celebrating that Caitlin’s fans are supposedly turning on her… Meanwhile, it is Angel’s fans who no longer have the juice,” one stated.
“Caitlin Clark fans voting for Kiki to spite Paige/Angel is hilarious I can’t lie,” said another.
“Do my eyes deceive me or does Kiki have more motion than Angel Reese?” one asked.
“Bruh Sky fans need to go vote,” said another.
On the season, Reese is averaging 11.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists. Many WNBA fans feel these stats should have resulted in more votes.
“Me, looking for the face of the league, Angel Reese,” said another.
    “No Angel Reese?” one asked.
“No angel Reese in the all star game !!! [Expletive] rigged we will not be watching,” one added.
“No way Angel Reese not in the top 10!!” another exclaimed. I don’t believe it!
