Benfica are leading Auckland City 5-0 at the 2025 Club World Cup in Orlando.
An Angel Di Maria penalty opened the scoring before the players were forced off the field for an extended period due to adverse weather conditions.
After they returned to the pitch, Vangelis Pavlidis, Renato Sanches added to the advantage before Leandro Barreiro added a quickfire brace.
Benfica will be keen to add to their lead in the knowledge that they might need the goal difference boost to make it into the knockouts.
