CEDAR FALLS — Former Northern Iowa men’s basketball player Tytan Anderson has signed an NBA Summer League contract with the New Orleans Pelicans.
New Orleans is scheduled to play NBA Summer League games between July 10-20 in Las Vegas.
Anderson, an Eldridge native, earned first-team all-Missouri Valley Conference recognition in 2024-25. He led the Panthers in scoring (15.5 points per game) and rebounding (6.5), shooting 57.7 percent from the field. He also led UNI with 18 blocked shots, and led the Valley in free throws made and attempted.
Anderson was named the MVC’s Most Improved Team captain in 2023.
Anderson scored a career-high 27 points at both Valparaiso and Belmont last season. He scored in double-digit figures in all but four contests last winter.
