Play is complete on day seven of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships at SW19.
Two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz beat Andrey Rublev in four sets after women's No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka took out Elise Mertens in straight sets.
Amanda Anisimova needed three sets to knock off Linda Nosková, while British hopeful Cameron Norrie outlasted Nicolás Jarry in five sets. American Taylor Fritz beat Jordan Thompson in a walkover.
Today's winner are headed to Tuesday's quarterfinals.

In tennis, torches are usually passed.
On Sunday at Wimbledon last year, Carlos Alcaraz grabbed the torch and ran around the bend and out of sight.
With a three-set routing of Novak Djokovic on Centre Court, Alcaraz cemented his position as the player in men's tennis.

Wimbledon has a roster of annual staples. An overnight queue for tickets. An all-white clothing rule. Grass-court tennis. And baffling outsiders with one or many of its traditions. At 10:18 p.m. Monday night, the latter two came together, as they so often do.
Taylor Fritz and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard finished the fourth set. But instead of continuing, they met at the net with officials. Words were exchanged. Arms were flung up. Then the players walked off the court.
At 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Ben Shelton prepared to serve to win against Rinky Hijikata of Australia. Or so he thought. The umpire instead announced the match was suspended, leaving Shelton remonstrating with a supervisor as darkness fell.
Shelton’s match had a fairly pedestrian explanation: the darkness was about to prevent the electronic line calling (ELC) system from working properly. He came back the next day and took 70 seconds and four points to see off Hijikata.
Fritz and Mpetshi Perricard’s match, by contrast, was at the mercy of the most sacred and strange tradition of them all: the 11 p.m. BST curfew imposed on a sporting event beamed across the globe.
Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam with an early bedtime, and the lights go out on time, every time, with no exceptions — almost.
