    Clymer Central School Names Students of Fourth Quarter – Post Journal

    CLYMER – Clymer Central School recently announced its “Pirate Pride” Students for the Fourth Quarter.
    During each marking period, faculty and staff members nominate students in grades kindergarten through third, fourth through sixth, seventh through ninth, and tenth through twelfth grades to receive the honor. Students who are selected have demonstrated leadership, academic improvement, excellence, and service to their school or community. Members of the Character Crew Committee at Clymer review the nominations and select one student from each of the four grade-level divisions.
    The Student of the Quarter for grades kindergarten through third is second grader Hailey Johnson. Hailey is the daughter of Tyler and Jessica Johnson. Some of her favorite subjects in school are gym and playing with her friends. After school, Hailey likes to play outside and go swimming in her pool. Her hobbies include cheerleading, softball and gymnastics. She is really good at sports and school. Hailey shows kindness at home by helping her family do stuff around the house. Hailey’s hero is Jesus because he died on the cross for her sins. When Hailey grows up, she would like to be a teacher.
    The Student of the Quarter for fourth through sixth grades is sixth grader Dakota Collins. Dakota is the daughter of Bethany and Cameron Collins. Dakota’s favorite subjects in school are math, ELA and hanging with her friends. After school, Dakota likes to read and hang out with her family. Her hobbies include art, reading, basketball and soccer. Dakota is really good at art and some sports. She shows kindness at home by helping her mom cook and doing chores around the house. Dakota also helps her siblings and cousins. Dakota’s hero is her Grandma White because she is hardworking, kind and smart. When Dakota grows up, she wants to be a bioengineer that goes to space.
    The Student of the Quarter for seventh through ninth grades is seventh grader Emmary Goetzinger. Emma is the daughter of Nichole and Kevin Damcott and Aaron Goetzinger. Emma’s school activities include Clymer/Sherman modified softball, modified basketball, band and FFA. Emma has participated in the Tulip Festival klomping dancing, and volunteered with the Halloween trick-or-treat event with FFA. Emma has received the Sportsmanship award for basketball, Most Improved award in band and honor roll. Her hobbies include going to school, sports, spending time in the barn with her horses, tanning and doing hair. Emma is still undecided on what she would like to be when she graduates.
    The Student of the Quarter for 10th through 12th grades is tenth grader MaKenzie Zimmer. Kenzie is the daughter of Jessica McNair. Some of the school activities in which she is involved are school choir and working in the cafeteria. MaKenzie has achieved honor roll for all 4 quarters of the 2024-2025 school year. Some of MaKenzie’s hobbies include bike riding, running, and going to the beach. When MaKenzie graduates, she plans to become a vet and own a house.
