Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office: car vs. deer crash, 9:29 a.m. Saturday, 1100 block of 60th Avenue, rural Pipestone County. Tyler Vanhoecke, Pipestone, was driving a 2018 Chevy Silverado. He was not injured and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.

Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office: airplane crash with minor injuries, 3:12 p.m. Sunday, Pipestone Municipal Airport. Pilot Jan Lee, of Sandpoint, Idaho, was flying a 1965 Alon A2 that left runway 9, crashed into a corn field and overturned end over end, coming to rest upside down in the corn field. Lee sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The airplane sustained severe damage. The Pipestone County Sheriff’s office is working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board during the investigation. The cause of the crash is unknown. Assisting at the scene were the Pipestone Fire Department and Pipestone County Ambulance.
