The Los Angeles Dodgers are close to a reunion with a former flamethrower.
There'll be a workout coming up to see if the fit makes sense.
MLB insider Robert Murray reported that Joe Kelly will workout for the Dodgers soon in the interest of coming back.
Kelly was a part of the Dodgers' World Series champions in 2020 and 2024.
He was a free agent this offseason, but he didn't sign with any team.
Kelly first joined the Dodgers in 2019 and was there through 2021, then again from midseason 2023 through the end of 2024.

Across his five Dodgers seasons, Kelly had a 3.72 ERA and struck out 10.7 batters per nine innings.
Overall, Kelly has appeared in 13 MLB seasons. He has also pitched for the Red Sox, Cardinals and White Sox.
Kelly is 37 years old, and he clearly sees a chance to join a familiar contender for another run.
If that fastball combo with his breaking ball still looks good in a workout, Kelly may indeed get a chance to don the Dodgers blue again.
