There is one sports GOAT argument that really has no arguing to be done.
The greatest player in the history of Backyard Baseball is Pablo Sanchez. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are wrong.
Why's this significant? Because Sanchez is at the origin of the New York Mets' winning streak.
Sanchez, a mascot-sized version of him, showed up at Citi Field on July 20.
Since then, the Mets are 7-0.

That includes a come-from-behind win in San Francisco on Sunday Night Baseball that included a tying home run from Ronny Mauricio, a go-ahead home run from Juan Soto and a bases-loaded escape in the bottom of the ninth by Edwin Diaz.
The Mets' fanbase loves latching on to inspirational, fictional figures. Remember how they worshipped Grimace last year?
Pablo definitely deserves that adulation, especially as long as the Mets keep winning in his honor.
