Two of the fiercest rivals in Women’s cricket, India W and Australia W, are all set to collide in the all-important Women’s World Cup encounter on Sunday, October 12th. The marquee game will take place at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. 
India W started their campaign in wonderful style, dominating Sri Lanka W and Pakistan W in the first two games. However, their defeat against South Africa W has made their race to the semi-finals a bit more challenging.

Australia W, on the other hand, are undefeated, beating New Zealand W and Pakistan W, while their game against Sri Lanka W got washed off without a ball being bowled. 
The two sides have met on 59 occasions before this, with the Aussies heavily dominating the Women In Blue with 48 wins, as compared to India’s 11 wins.

7:00 pm: Australia start their run-chase with captain Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield opening the innings. Amanjot Kaur will bowl the first over for India.
6:22 pm: Back-to-back wickets for Sutherland to complete her five-wicket haul. India failed to play out the 50 overs, despite a 150-run opening stand and finished at 330 (48.5). Sutherland 5/40.
6:17 pm: Another wicket for Australia. In form Amanjot Kaur edges Ashleigh Gardner to Molineux at the point and is dismissed for 16(12). India 327/8 (47.3).
6:14 pm: Another wicket for Molineux and another catch for Mooney at long on. Deepti Sharma (1 off 7) tries to dance down the wicket and take on the spinner but does not reach the pitch of the delivery. India 320/7.
6:04 pm: Jemimah tries to make room for herself but has to reach out for the ball outside off from Sutherland and skies it straight to Beth Mooney down the ground in the circle. India 309/6.
5:56 pm: Richa falls for the slower-ball trap of Sutherland. Hits the back of the hand delivery straight to Wareham down the ground at 32(22). India 294/5.
5:50 pm: India has decided to up the ante with 36 runs in the last three overs. Jemimah striking at over 200 with 19*(9), while Richa (22* off 16) has already dispatched a couple for six. India 276/4 (41).
5:30 pm: Wicket! One brings two for the Aussies. Molineux out-foxes the set Harleen Deol, who tries to dance down the wicket but doesn’t reach the pitch of the ball and slices it to Sutherland at 38(42). India 240/4.
5:27 pm: Wicket! Megan Schutt gets the big fish. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur tries to continue her attack, but cuts one straight to Molineux at backward point. Kaur falls for 22(17). India 234/3.
4:55 pm: Wicket! The set Pratika falls after a well made 75(96). Annabel Sutherland gets the breakthrough, as Perry takes a regulation catch on Patika’s pull. India 192/2.
4:30 pm: Wicket! Finally a wicket for Australia. Mandhana tries to take on Sophie Molineux but the slog sweep is caught by Litchfield. India 155/1.
4:27 pm: 150-run partnership! Pratika and Mandhana are going strong for India with fifties each, as they put India in driver’s seat early on in the match.
4:10 pm: 100-run partnership! Smriti is taking the aggressive route as India bring up their first 100 run opening stand of the tournament.
