New South Wales and Sydney Sixers cricketer Joel Davies is facing the prospect of punishment following an alleged lewd send-off while celebrating a wicket during a first-grade match in Sydney.
During Sunday’s T20 contest between Sydney University and Manly Warringah, the 22-year-old appeared to thrust his hips in the batter’s direction following a dismissal, stumped by wicketkeeper Jay Lenton.

Umpires did not report Davies for the alleged act, but Cricket NSW confirmed to Fox Cricket that Davies has since been reported for a suspected breach of the code of conduct. He is yet to be charged.
According to reports, Manly players have claimed that Davies was not imitating a sex act.
Davies, the younger brother of fellow Blues player Ollie, has represented the Sydney Sixers in ten Big Bash League games since his debut in 2023.
