Baker Mayfield has held things together with his MVP-level play, and now he’s set to get Mike Evans back for Monday’s game. The Lions are trying to rebound after they saw their four-game winning streak snapped last Sunday against the Chiefs. Though the SportsLine Projection Model sees the Lions covering the 6-point spread, it likes Tampa Bay on the money line as a +224 underdog. The Bucs win in 37% of simulations to bring value at those odds.
Sam Darnold used a big year in 2024 to land a lucrative deal in free agency with the Seahawks, and he’s picked up where he left off. Seattle is 4-2 entering Week 8 and will look to break through a stiff Texans defense on Monday night. Houston comes into this game off a bye week but has not found its footing offensively. The Texans are averaging just 21.6 points per game offensively, good for 20th in the league. However, the SportsLine model backs Houston on the money line as the Texans win in 46% of simulations to bring value at +143 odds.
The road team won the first four games of the ALCS before the home team took the last two, setting up Game 7 on Monday night. The Mariners will roll with George Kirby (10-8, 4.21 ERA), who gave them five strong innings in the Game 5 victory over the Tigers in the ALDS. The Blue Jays counter with Shane Bieber (4-2, 3.57 ERA), who was solid in Game 3 against Seattle where he allowed just two runs in six innings. The SportsLine Projection Model likes the Mariners to take Game 7, as they win in 53% of simulations.
