T20 Spring Challenge 2025: Schedule, Squads And Where To Watch Live | Cricket News Today – Wisden

The 2025 T20 Spring Challenge is set to kick off on October 21. Find the full schedule, squad lists and how to follow the tournament live here.

The tournament, set to begin its second season, was introduced to ensure Australia’s top women cricketers do not lose the opportunity to showcase their talent after the WBBL was trimmed from 14 to 10 games per team.
The competition features the eight regular WBBL clubs – Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers, and Sydney Thunder – along with the ACT team.
It will be played over 10 days from October 21 to 30. A total of 21 matches, including the two semi-finals and the final, will be held across four venues: North Sydney Oval, Cricket Central, Blacktown International Sports Park, and Drummoyne Oval.
Overseas stars include England’s Dani Gibson (Melbourne Stars) and Paige Scholfield (Perth Scorchers), both of whom were omitted from England’s squad for the Women’s World Cup. South Africa’s Lizelle Lee will now play as a local after receiving permanent Australian residency. The tournament will also see former Australia captain Meg Lanning return to action for the Melbourne Stars.
