This Women’s World Cup match takes place at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, India, and starts on Wednesday, October 22 at 3:00 p.m. local time (IST).
Here’s how that time translates across Australia:
Australia has a disappointing news ahead of their crucial fixture, skipper Alyssa Healy, has been ruled out against England in their next fixture with a calf strain. In her absence, Tahlia McGrath will captain the side.
Georgia Voll, who is yet to play a match in the ongoing World Cup, will replace Healy in the final XI on Wednesday. Beth Mooney will take care of the wicketkeeping duties.
The team’s middle-order responsibilities will come down on Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner‘s shoulders. While spinners Alana King and Georgia Wareham will take care of the spin department.
On the pace bowling front, veteran Megan Schutt, along with Darcie Brown, is expected to feature, and Annabel Sutherland will provide depth to the pace bowling unit.
Australia predicted XI: Georgia Voll, Phoebe Litchfield, Ellyse Perry, Beth Mooney (wk), Annabel Sutherland, Ashleigh Gardner, Tahlia McGrath (c), Georgia Wareham, Darcie Brown, Alana King, Megan Schutt.
England Women have been unbeaten in the tournament and will be keen to keep their streak alive in their remaining two matches. England’s major concern has been their top-order batting.
Opener Tammy Beaumont has failed to rise up to the expectations with her batting but would be eyeing to give her best in the upcoming high-stake matches; her partner Amy Jones returned to form with a blistering half-century against India Women in the last match.
Former England captain Heather Knight scored an excellent ton in the last month, showcasing her potential for the high-intensity matches. Knight, along with skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt, will be a threat for Aussie bowlers. Alice Capsey, who is yet to perform up to her potential in the tournament, is likely to retain her place in the final XI.
On the bowling front, Sophie Ecclestone and Charlie Dean will lead the spin bowling attack, whereas Lauren Bell will spearhead their pace attack.
England predicted XI: Heather Knight, Amy Jones (wk), Tammy Beaumont, Nat Sciver-Brunt (c), Sophia Dunkley, Emma Lamb, Alice Capsey, Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone, Linsey Smith, Lauren Bell.
