Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s World Series performance was one for the ages.
Not only did the Los Angeles Dodgers ace pitch the first World Series complete game in a decade in Game 2, but he also went out and beat the Toronto Blue Jays again with six strong innings in Game 6, helping rescue the Dodgers from elimination. To top it off, Yamamoto came on in relief in Game 7 and got eight more outs, tossing 34 more pitches on zero days’ rest.
