Delivered in partnership with UOW College and supported by the Richmond Institute, the program blends academic learning with real-world industry experience. Students will graduate with two nationally recognised qualifications: the Diploma of Sport (SIS50321) and the Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420).
Based at Cricket Central in Sydney Olympic Park, the 10-month program includes three days per week of in-person learning and more than 80 hours of industry placement. The NSW College of Sport will welcome its inaugural intake of students in February 2026.
Cricket NSW Chief Executive Officer Lee Germon said the College of Sport represents a major step forward in Cricket NSW’s vision to position Cricket Central as a thriving hub for sport, education and community development.
“The NSW College of Sport will provide young people and early-career professionals with a unique opportunity to learn, grow and build their careers in the sporting industry,” Germon said.
“This program brings together leading educators, elite facilities and real-world experience to ensure graduates are job-ready and equipped to make an impact across all levels of sport and recreation.”
“This is an exciting new chapter for Cricket NSW and the broader sporting community”.
The College is open to Year 12 leavers, early-career professionals, and those seeking career progression in sport and recreation.
The initiative will also strengthen Cricket NSW’s role in workforce development, community engagement and talent pathways, while supporting the broader sports sector by producing graduates with practical leadership, coaching, and business skills.
The College’s first public event, the Future You Festival, will be held at Cricket Central on Sunday 16 November 2025, giving students and families the chance to explore the facilities, meet program leaders and learn more about the course.
