    Q4 9:08 – Patriots 24, Jets 14
After an incompletion and a screen to Breece Hall that loses yards, New York faces third-and-12.
Justin Fields lets it fly across the middle but there's nothing there and the pass falls incomplete as the Jets punt.
New England turned up the heat on that possession and New York did not respond well.
    Q4 10:48 – Patriots 24, Jets 14
Consecutive runs by Breece Hall set up third-and-2.
Justin Fields makes an impressive move, though, turning a broken play into a first down with his legs on the perimeter.
Breaking news: The New York Jets have a sack. Pretty wild that Drake Maye was sacked 35 times entering tonight, the second most in the NFL. It took until the fourth quarter for the Patriots' quarterback to be brought down.
Jermaine Johnson gets his third sack of 2025. It likely prevents a touchdown from being scored.
Signs of progress from the Jets' defense?
    Q4 12:06 – Patriots 24, Jets 14
The Jets finally get to Drake Maye, setting up third-and-15. Jermaine Johnson won his matchup, powering past Hunter Henry before slinging Maye to the ground.
Maye checks it down to TreVeyon Henderson on third down, setting up a 44-yard field goal attempt from Andres Borregales.
This time, he knocks it through, extending New England's lead.
The New York Jets' defense elects to go blitz on third-and-10. Drake Maye exposes the Jets as he throws to DeMario Douglas for a 26-yard completion.
The Jets not bringing Douglas down is a microcosm of New York’s game and season tonight.
    Q4 15:00 – Patriots 21, Jets 14
That's another easy third-down conversion for New England.
Pitch and catch from Maye to Diggs for a gain of 13 yards.
    End Q3 – Patriots 21, Jets 14
On the final play of the third quarter, Drake Maye finds Demario Douglas for a gain of 3 yards.
New England will have third-and-5 from New York's 41-yard line to start the fourth quarter.
    Q3 2:04 – Patriots 21, Jets 14
A holding penalty is a rough start to the Patriots drive.
This is followed by an incompletion deep downfield intended for Kyle Williams and a 10-yard completion to Hunter Henry.
On third-and-10, Drake Maye calmly lobs a pass to Demario Douglas for a first down and a gain of 26 yards into Jets territory.
John Metchie III gets his first touchdown of the 2025 season, a wide-open 22-yard completion.
College football fans remember Metchie fondly for his time with the Alabama Crimson Tide, with whom he won a College Football Playoff national championship in 2020. The Houston Texans picked Metchie in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Metchie missed his entire rookie season after being diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. He returned to play in 2023 and two years later is now with the Jets, getting a big receiving touchdown in this game.
New York isn't out of it!
    Q3 3:10 – Patriots 21, Jets 14
Justin Fields rips a pass across the middle, but it again goes right through the hands of Adonai Mitchell. He has been open often but has not capitalized yet. New York finds the end zone on the very next play, though.
Fields has all day to throw and finds John Metchie III for an easy touchdown pass from 22 yards out.
Craig Woodson fell, leaving Metchie open for the score.
    Q3 4:42 – Patriots 21, Jets 7
That's another first down for New York.
Breece Hall catches a pass for 8 yards before rushing for 4 more yards on the next play.
TreVeyon Henderson has five TDs in five days.
How in the world was he not RB1?
This has taken the Patriots to another level in terms of Super Bowl contenders.
    Q3 6:05 – Patriots 21, Jets 7
New York is quickly across midfield after a couple of completions from Justin Fields.
He finds John Metchie III on a screen, gaining 5 yards and another first down.
That's five total touchdowns in five days for TreVeyon Henderson, who is having a strong night against the Jets.
Should he be receiving more Offensive Rookie of the Year talk? While the Bucs' Emeka Egbuka, Giants' Jaxson Dart and Colts' Tyler Warren, among others, deserve to be in the conversation, Henderson might force his way in, too.
Drake Maye is really good man.

Patriots players in the huddle near the end of that drive asking the crowd at Gillette Stadium to quiet down because the MVP chants for Drake Maye were so loud.

TreVeyon Henderson has five touchdowns in the last five days.

By the way: Justin Fields has thrown for 501 first-half passing yards in nine games this season.
    That ranks 32nd.
I said in the first half about the Jets' defense giving up the big passing play. That trend continues on this last Patriots drive.
A 17-yard completion to Mack Hollins. Wide open. Stefon Diggs makes two catches in soft Jets coverage. Even the TreVeyon Henderson touchdown catch was a no-doubter.
Drake Maye is having his way against a Jets secondary that is presenting a ton of space in the open field.
