    Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood, along with spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, had a dominant outings in the seventh round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26.

    After securing a 67-run first-innings lead, Karachi Blues produced a solid batting effort in their second innings, spearheaded by captain Shan Masood, who struck his fourth double-hundred in first-class cricket. Coming in at three, Masood struck an unbeaten 250 off 234 balls, hitting 28 fours and six sixes. Karachi Blues declared their innings at 447-5. Masood received strong support from Rameez Aziz, who scored 78 off 81 balls from No. 6, an innings laced with seven fours and four sixes.
    In the first innings, Masood had also gotten off to a breezy start, reaching 43 quickly before being dismissed off his 48th ball.

    This was also Masood’s highest score in first-class cricket, surpassing his previous best of 239 for Derbyshire against Sussex in the 2022 County Championship. In the process, he also surpassed his previous best in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, which was 199 in a match between Islamabad and Karachi Whites back in 2013.

    At the Diamond Club Ground in Islamabad, Pakistan Test spin twins Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were in the spotlight, but this time they found themselves on opposing sides. Playing for Lahore Whites, Noman Ali struck first, dismissing Peshawar for 245 with figures of 4-78. Peshawar’s captain, Sajid Khan, fought back with 5-82 to secure a slender 15-run first-innings lead for his team.

    The rivalry intensified in the second innings. Noman took 5-112 to bowl out Peshawar for 237, setting Lahore Whites a target of 253. However, Sajid picked up his second five-wicket haul of the match (5-60) to skittle Lahore Whites out for 167, guiding Peshawar to an 85-run victory.
