Gerald “Jerry” Krueger, 83 of Winona, MN passed away on November 15, 2025 after a brief illness.
Born on October 23, 1942, to Arnold and Lillian (Falbo) Krueger, Jerry graduated from Keewatin High School in Keewatin, MN, in 1960. He earned a degree in Business from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1965. That same year, he married Sandy (Swanstrom) Myers and had two daughters. After their divorce, Jerry wed Cathy (Crockett) Suit and had two more daughters. They later divorced, as well.
Jerry devoted his entire professional career to the JCPenney Company, rising through management roles across the Midwest. His career culminated with a position at the corporate headquarters in Plano, TX, followed by a final transfer to Sioux Falls, SD, where he managed the local JCPenney store until his retirement.
In Sioux Falls, Jerry began a faithful journey with the Lord Jesus Christ. After retiring early, he became deeply involved in church ministries—mentoring others, supporting outreach efforts, and helping lead the church’s building expansion. Jerry also gave generously of his time to organizations such as The United Way, the Small Business Association, the Answer Center, The Gideons, and the University of Sioux Falls Business Department.
Later in life, Jerry moved to Winona to be near two of his daughters and their families. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and especially loved watching them play sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Arthur Koski; sisters Larolyn Radell and Annette Krznarich; and brother Arnold “Nails” Krueger.
He is survived by his daughters Kerrie Maynard; Dawn (Phil) Appicelli; Courtney (Joey) Rangel; Ashley (Mason) Rebarchek; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Charlene (David Gunelson); and numerous nieces and nephews.
