    Sports for cause; U-15 Cricket Match promotes Nasha Mukht J&K Campaign at Bhaderwah – The Kashmir Horizon

    Bhaderwah: To promote the Nasha Mukht J&K campaign, a Cricket Match for Under-15 boys and girls was organised Saturday by the J&K Excise Department here in collaboration with the Bhaderwah Cricket Academy.
    The match was played between Bhaderwah Cricket Academy and Dronacharya Sports Academy Doda, with young players showcasing remarkable energy, discipline and enthusiasm. The event aimed to encourage youth participation in sports and promote the message of a drug-free Jammu & Kashmir by providing a positive and competitive platform to children.
    Batting first, Dronacharya Sports Academy posted a total of 135 runs for 3 wickets, with Shevita Rana scoring an impressive 47 runs, and Hafsa adding a valuable 39 runs. For Bhaderwah Cricket Academy, Arib and Baber took one wicket each.
    In response, Bhaderwah Cricket Academy fought hard but fell short, scoring 130 runs for 7 wickets, leading to a narrow 5-run victory for Dronacharya Sports Academy.
    The match was won by Dronacharya Sports Academy by 5 runs. Haami and Khalid from Bhaderwah Cricket Academy were declared best fielder of the match and best Batsperson, respectively. Player of the match title went to Shevita Rana from Dronacharya Sports Academy for her excellent performance.
    The event was graced by Virander Sir, ETO DKR, Excise Department, as the Chief Guest. He congratulated both teams, appreciated their sportspersonship and extended his best wishes for their bright future in sports. The prize distribution ceremony concluded successfully.
