Looks like rain is coming back again in Dubai, especially at the ICC Academy where India and Sri Lanka are slated to play, which is not at all a good sign.
India U-19 team head coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar informs that the players are still at the hotel. “It’s a pity the weather has turned up and the full match won’t take place. It’s rained, the umpires need to conduct inspections, and we will leave it to them. We want the boys to have the mind on the game and not switch off,” Kanitkar says.
It must be noted that no reserve has been put in place for the semifinals of the U-19 Asia Cup. In case the India vs Sri Lanka gets washed out, India will qualify for the final.
