Batting first, Sri Lanka managed to put up a paltry total of just 112 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs as Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma starred with four and three wickets respectively.

In response, India took a little less than 14 overs to chase down the total as Shafali Verma starred with a brilliant knock of 79 runs off 42 balls and remained not out. She was supported by Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 21 off 18 and remained unbeaten
Sri Lanka batters were simply no match for the Indians as only Himeshi Dulani and Hasina Perera managed to put up a decent individual total.
Among the Indian batters, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah were dismissed early but Verma and Kaur made sure India chased down the total comfortably and clinched the series.
