    Transfer news LIVE!
The the January transfer window came to an end yesterday after typically busy deadline day. Manchester United were among the busier clubs around at the moment, with Marcus Rashford completing his loan switch to Aston Villa to finally end his first-team exile under Ruben Amorim. A new striker was seemingly a priority but the window closed without a new forward posing with a red shirt.
Arsenal were also being tipped with a move to sign a new forward, having seen a bid rejected for Villa star Ollie Watkins. Mathys Tel had appeared an option for both the Gunners and United, though Tottenham won that race after a dramatic late U-turn. Arsenal reportedly considered a surprise late move for Alvaro Morata, but did not act quickly enough as he joined Galatasaray on loan. Chelsea, meanwhile, have signed Mathis Amougou after several exits were confirmed.
Tottenham signed Kevin Danso after having a bid for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi rejected. Fresh talks with Chelsea over Axel Disasi failed, with Aston Villa winning that race, while Manchester City signed Nico Gonzalez. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo ultimately remained at Manchester United during the January transfer window.
Still, how long they actually stay is up for debate.
According to The Guardian, the Red Devils are willing to sell the winger this summer.
Paul Pogba remains without a club but a return to football could be in the offing.
In fact, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged the Red Devils to make a stunning move to allow Pogba to train with Ruben Amorim’s side.
Could a THIRD spell at Old Trafford be on the cards?
“I’m happy to be here. Finally playing good football again.
“I am coming off a long injury, but by now I am fit and know that my time will come again. In every tough period there are also positive elements and in this case that is that I have become much stronger physically and mentally.
“I have more patience, am more mature, know my body better and things like that. I’m ready to pop and hopefully win several prizes with PSV.”
Manchester United confirmed Tyrell Malacia’s loan move to PSV.
The Dutch club have also confirmed the existence of a buy option in the move.
Matheus Cunha may have just signed a new Wolves contract, but he remains keen to play for a bigger club.
That’s according to Football Insider, who reports that the new Wolves contract has a £62.5million release clause and the club is expecting renewed interest in their striker in the summer.
Arsenal were interested in January but a bid never materialised, but Mikel Arteta has said the club keeping their powder dry during the winter window has strengthened their hand for the summer.
    A transfer saga is afoot.
Manchester United have sent Tyrell Malacia on loan to PSV.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the left-back will spend the rest of the season with the Eredivisie side.
PSV can make the move permanent for £8million.
Confirmation of those earlier reports from The Sun, as Tottenham have announced the signing of young forward Mason Melia.
He will join next January, after he turned 18 in September.
A real transfer coup for Spurs.

Tottenham are set to sign Irish wonderkid Mason Melia, according to The Sun.
The 17-year-old has been playing first-team football for St Patrick’s Athletic in the League of Ireland Premier Division since last season and is considered a hugely talent prospect.
Arsenal scouts have been tracking him for well over two years, but it is Spurs who have won the race for Melia.
Melia cannot move to the UK until he turns 18 due to Brexit rules.
Harry Kane believes Tottenham is the ideal club for loan signing Mathys Tel to fulfil his potential.
France Under-21 international Tel had struggled to break into Vincent Kompany’s plans at the Allianz Arena, and saw his game time diminishing significantly.
Spurs’ record goalscorer Kane left for Germany in August 2023 and played alongside Tel with Bayern.
The England captain has no doubt his former Bayern team-mate can go on to make an impact as part of Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
“It is a great move for both parties. Mathys is a great guy, really hard-working and full of potential,” Kane said in a chat with fans on the Cleats Club app.

“They believe in young players and the process they have in place to develop us is fantastic.”
