    Canfield, Johnson earn IAABO scholarships – Evening Observer

    JAMESTOWN — A pair of Jamestown Community College women’s basketball players recently earned the Chautauqua County Basketball Officials Board 39 Scholarship.
    Alyson Canfield of Jamestown High School and Andrea Johnson of Cassadaga Valley Central School were awarded the scholarships during the Section VI high school basketball playoffs held at JCC’s Physical Education Complex.
    The award is presented annually to members of the JCC and/or Fredonia State University basketball programs who graduated from a Chautauqua County high school.
    During their freshmen seasons, Canfield appeared in 24 games and averaged 9.4 points per game while Johnson played in 17 games for the Jayhawks, scoring just over 2 points per game.
