    Lakeview’s Stensrud named Camden South MVP – Marshall Independent

    The Camden Conference released its All-Conference teams this week, with Lakeview’s Brynn Stensrud earning the title of Camden South Most Valuable Player. Among area teams, Minneota, Lakeview and Canby each had three first-team selections in the South division while Tracy-Milroy-Balaton and Yellow Medicine East each earned one.
    In addition to Stensrud, the Lakers also had Savanna Louwagie and Anah Schmidt named to the All-Conference team and Brook Gunlogson selected as an honorable mention. Head coach Mike Imes was named the South’s Co-Coach of the Year with Minneota’s Alan Panka.
    For the Vikings, Kiersyn Hulzebos, Jaylyn Coequyt and Sarah Gruenes were selected to the All-Conference team while Canby was represented by Brynn Kockelman, Josie Frank and Ava Danielson. Minneota’s Eden Meagher was also acknowledged as an honorable mention.
    Bailey Mortenson and Melaina Ankrum represented YME and TMB, respectively, on the All-Conference team while YME’s Alana Almich and TMB’s Gretchen Lanoue were named as honorable mentions.
    In the North division, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg led the way with four selections, Central Minnesota Christian had another three, and MACCRAY had two, including North MVP Brielle Janssen.KMS’ Justin Johnson and CMC’s Brian Nelson were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
    Dawson-Boyd’s Claire Stratmoen was selected as an honorable mention.
